Beloved husband of Marcia Anderson; father of Erin Berry, her husband Scott and Heather Garvin; son of Glenda Garvin Kerr; brother of Linda Meyerson, Glenn Garvin, Gary Garvin, and the late Greggory Garvin; son-in-law of Helen Anderson. Memorial Services will be held 11 a.m. Monday, August 28 at The All Souls Memorial Episcopal Church, 2300 Cathedral Avenue, N.W., Washington, DC 20008. Inurnment will be held 3 p.m., Monday, September 18 at the Arlington National Cemetery Columbarium, Arlington, VA.

My only memory of Gale Garvin is from the 9th grade at Leland Jr. High. I had just moved to Bethesda, and it was a difficult adjustment. Gale asked me to dance at some sort of school function and I was thrilled! He was a nice boy and very good looking. So, Gale, thank you for making my day back then, and I wish I could thank you in person.

I remember Gale mostly from Rollingwood Elementary School. He was quiet and very nice, and had the world's longest, thickest, and most beautiful eyelashes!
