I have edited Kathryn Cleaves' obituary so it could be posted in the "In Memory - Classmates" section. The followig was excerpted from her obituary posted by Joseph Gawler's Sons:
Kathryn Stackpole Cleaves Burke passed away on July 25, 2012 in Washington, DC. The loving wife of Daniel Barlow Burke for 42 years, Kathy was the proud mother and grandmother of two sons and four grandchildren. She graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design in 1968 and worked as the graphic designer for the University of Rhode Island and then, moving to Washington, as the publications designer for the Library of Congress from 1971 to 1975. With the birth of her sons, she pursued freelance graphic design and calligraphy, photography, and quilt design and restoration. She was an avid quilter and a past president of her quilt guild, Chevy Chase Needle Chasers.
