I knew Ronnie since the mid 1950's when we were in Cub Scouts together.  He was a good friend.

I grew up with Ronnie and probably was in the same Cub Scout troop.  I was the tallest until he suddently out grew me.  It makes me sad to hear of his passing and a little more vulnerable.  Steve Rosenblatt

Ron and I stayed friends after we left BCC until his death about 10 years ago..  He moved his advertising business from Maryland to southeast Florida.   He worked to keep our friends together with a few reunion parties over the years.

Ron continued in the basketball sports area all his life.  In fact he started to have heart problems on the plane home from the finals of the NCAA basketball tournament and died of heart issues upon his return.

His daughter was a scholarship vollyball player at Rice University in Houston, TX.   She gave birth to her son just days before Ron passed away..   I have seen his grandson over the years and he has the same dimple on his chin as Ron did..

Ron's funeral service was in a high school basketball gym in Florida.  I gave a speach about Ron that included many stories of our days at Kensington Jr High and BCC.   One of our memories were was related to the Hot Shoppe visits before basketball games..   Those were the days...
