Ed, whom I met in 1951, was killed in a motorcycle crash in 1983. He was working as a mechanic, and I believe that he was test driving someone's motorcycle that he had just repaired when he was hit by a truck. He was married for the last 11 years of his life, and had no kids. I knew his whole family. Not only his parents, Walter & Freda, have died, as is not too surprising, but his younger brother Bill died in 2008 at 59. I keep in touch with sole survivor youngest brother K.C. (Casey).
