I am John's brother. He was a member of the 1964 class. I wanted to inform you that he passed away in December of 2010. Sorry to have to give you this news but thought you might want it for the school records. Hope all goes well with your celebration. John would have loved to take part.

I was sorry to read the announcement from Robert Tucker that John had passed away. I knew John from the time we went to Bethesda Elementary School through B-CC. We played football together for three years, John was the perfect tight end, big with great ball catching abilities. I don't thing I ever heard John raise his voice in anger. I sometime joked and called him the Gentle Giant. We lost contact after High School like many others. He was my friend and I hope he had a good life.

Robert, I'm so sorry to hear about John's passing.  I didn't know him well, but I know we would all have loved to see him at the reunion.  My prayers are with you.

I knew John very well, we'd hang out together, he lived not too far from where I lived in Bethesda.  I'd go over to his house periodically to do homework together and have a bite to eat.  Great memories.  He had a great sense of humor, always kept us laughing.  He was a really tall guy, even in high school.  We played on the football team together.
